HOW TO HOLD A STRESS FREE BARBECUE IN JANUARY????

The answer is to let Bespoke Catering into your life! Iain of Bespoke gave us a wonderful night last Saturday. He had discussed the menu with us previously, ascertained how many people were coming, (22 plus)….. then he did the rest! Bespoke even provided the disposable plates and cutlery. All we had to do was turn up (we even had time for a little snooze in the afternoon!)

Iain barbecued in our garage and very unobtrusively served everything piping hot to our table. He also provided two irresistible desserts. The food was delicious and many guests commented just how delicious it was. Iain even quietly cleared away the dirty dishes and disposed of them for us which we really appreciated. He even provided ice baths for our rather large amounts of booze. We cannot recommend Iain and Bespoke highly enough. We had a stress free fun evening and friends are already asking about next year’s event!

Richard and I got married in August this year and used Bespoke Catering Cumbria to supply all the food for the day (arrival canapés, reception meal and evening food). Iain and the team were amazing from start to finish. Iain was very prompt at replying to my (many) emails and came up with some excellent suggestions for the food, which suited our relaxed wedding perfectly. We cannot thank him enough for the help and advice he gave us leading up to the day. We have also had so many comments complimenting the quality of the BBQ food, and the pulled pork sandwiches went down a treat in the evening. Iain was also excellent at catering for our vegetarian and vegan guests. One guest commented that “it was the best wedding she had ever been to for vegan food” which can’t have been easy at a BBQ! The staff were also fantastic on the day. They were so attentive and helped everything run smoothly, doing jobs beyond their remit.

Thank you all so much for your help throughout the whole process and your patience with my many queries and changes. I would recommend you wholeheartedly.

I just want to say thank you so much for all the hard work and good food you provided for us at my daughter’s wedding party in the tipis on Saturday 15th. Everyone remarked on the food and said how much they had enjoyed it, the pulled port in the evening seemed to be a particular favourite but me I liked the chicken best. And the salads…, and the pudding… and..

The waiting on staff were brilliant, nothing was any trouble, they happily sorted out requests and little issues. And thanks also for cutting up the cake for us later on, when you were probably more than ready to call it a day, so that people could have a bit of fruit cake! Not a proper wedding without fruit cake to a certain generation.. mine!

We had arranged to get married in July 2015 and having the party at our home for approximately 80 guests.cTo our horror, the caterer that we had booked let us down with less than two weeks to go. The stress levels went through the roof, but we were recommended Iain by the staff who we had to run our bar, he did not disappoint.

After one visit to our house, he immediately put us at our ease and agreed upon a menu with just over a week to go. He and his staff did exactly what Iain said, when he said “don’t worry we will take care of everything”

He arrived with all the equipment and food as discussed and the level of service we have to say was exceptional. We lost count of the guests that came up to us to compliment not only the food but Iain’s easy and accommodating manner.

He made us both feel that we had known him for years and made sure our special day was one to remember for years to come.

We would both like to thank him for coming to our rescue on that day in July and making it so special, anybody who is looking for an excellent service delivered in a calm and professional manner – Iain McKey and his team are the ones to book.

We have been eating Iain’s food on a regular basis for the last five years through both his restaurant and catering services. In that time we have found his food to be of an excellent standard. He is an inventive chef and regularly changes the menu to ensure that he can use fresh seasonal produce and also keep the selection of foods varied and interesting. This means that we are always eagerly awaiting the publication of the month’s menu to see what we can be tempted by.

Now that we are well embedded into our new home, we have finally had time to reflect on recent events, particularly our ‘house warming party’, and felt that we really should write to you to express our appreciation for the part you and your staff played in making it such a happy and joyous occasion!

We had been impressed by your response to our initial telephone enquiry (even though it was short notice), and that standard of efficiency and care was maintained throughout.  You tolerated our idiosyncratic requirements, coped with the house, kitchen & dining room more than filled to capacity; thank goodness it was a lovely day allowing us all to spill into the garden.  You produced an excellent buffet & BBQ that was widely appreciated.  Above all, you and your staff gave no indication of just how hard you were working behind the scenes and the cheerful, prompt service contributed to the warm and friendly gathering we had hoped to create.  We have received many thank you letters and thought it only right to pass on to you our appreciation and thanks.

Thank you so much for everything that you did for our wedding. You really went above and beyond what we expected from a caterer and we can’t thank you enough, not many people would agree to cook a meal for 100 in a school and cart it across. From the very beginning you’ve been amazing, helping us to choose the perfect meal and offering extras such as the gazebos and wine coolers. The food was absolutely perfect, it was exactly what we had in mind – only better

It really suited our style of eating and really fitted with the theme of a relaxed, local wedding. The ham especially was delicious and went down a storm at the evening buffet. The guests loved carving their own meat and are still talking about it. We have had loads of guests compliment the food and the great service. We will definitely be recommending you to family and friends.
